Five of Airtel’s prepaid plans, including ₹401, ₹448, ₹499, ₹599, and the ₹2,698, now come with a year of Disney+ Hotstar’s VIP subscription.
Airtel has expanded some of its plans to come with Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscriptions including the ₹448, ₹499, ₹599 and the ₹2,698 prepaid recharges. Recharging with one of any of these plans will get you one year of free Disney+ Hotstar VIP access.
Airtel had brought in Disney+ Hotstar VIP access to its ₹401 prepaid plan four months ago and has now expanded this feature to four new plans. The ₹401 plan has also been updated with 10 times additional high-speed data benefit for 28 days and now comes 30GB data for 28 days.
Airtel’s FAQ pages have been updated to include the new plans that are now offering Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription. All the five prepaid plans offer a year of Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription benefits.
Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription includes seven multiplex movies, Hotstar specials, Disney+ shows, movies, kids content and live sports access. The Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription is worth ₹399/year just by itself.
Just to remind you, Hotstar is the official streaming partner for the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has put all the live streaming content behind a paywall this year. So if you are interested in watching all the matches live, you will need the Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription which is much cheaper than the normal Disney+ Hotstar subscription which is ₹1,499 for a year.
Now, these plans that have been upgraded with the Disney+ Hotstar VIP are not all new plans. The ₹448, ₹499 and the ₹599 plans have been around since last year, but Airtel has revised their benefits. The ₹2,698 plan is new to Airtel’s portfolio.
Besides this free one-year long Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription, the ₹448 prepaid plan comes with unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and 3GB of high-speed data access for 28 days. The ₹499 prepaid plan also offers similar benefits, however it is specifically designed as a “first time recharge” (FTR) and is available only for new Airtel prepaid customers as their first prepaid recharge option.
On the ₹599 plan, Airtel offers 2GB of high-speed data benefits alongside unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS messages per day for 56 days. The ₹2,698 prepaid plan comes with unlimited voice calls, 100 daily SMS messages and 2GB high-speed data per day for 365 days.
